Presidential Debates

Another debate is over.....and both candiates did a great job with all the questions asked. President Bush really came prepared and and well rehearshed this time. But of course this is the type of forum he is best at. John Kerry on the other hand is one of the most skilled debater i have seen in politics. Questions from the people of Missouri were ????..many of us wants to know the answer too....
Bush did appear presidential, but I found him to be to hardnose when it came to some of the issues. I know as president he has many hard decisions to make but what about all the people whi have differing opinions from him. He appeared to be telling america that his way or no way. I thought a president was to do the will of the people not just his own personal view. It is just like the abortion issue when he talked about that. I know he is dead set against abortion but there are millions of people who disagree with him.  This question really touched a nerve with me...I am not for abortion either personally for myself but I am not going to insist my personal values on you or anyone else.
I am just wondering who is going to take care of these
unwanted children, love and provide the needs of this child.
Today, there are already children that are not being cared for now in america.
I'm upset...I'm going to bed......I may finish this post tomorrow

While I agree with your final judgment on the debate, I disagree with your belief that both candidates did a great job with all the questions asked. The only question that Bush really answered was the first one, which was an attack on Kerry.

But, yeah, he was more prepared and rehearsed then the last debate...I think he must have gotten some tips from one of his evangelist friends because he reminded me of Elmer Gantry in his delivery and performance.

Peace.

I liked your post. It is true that Bush's image is like "hey, white or black" but I am thinking that the middle is what gives balance to the whole thing.

Just got to your page via BlogExplosion, and I can see that we share the same views regarding the debate. From where I stand, it's either the U.S. becomes softer(more diplomatic) with Kerry leading the way, or stay with Bush, and let him finish all that he started.

Either way, it's becoming too compicated that I can't even concentrate on doing the things that I want to anymore.

Great layout by the way. :)

It seems there has been breaking news by the NY Times and Salon.com.... showing a pict of the Pres backside.... it appears that there is some sort of wiring under his coat. Journalists are speculating that he was wearing a radio receiver/micro ear piece during the debate. Very strange indeed. It sorta feels like cheating. again. But thats just me.

In my humble opinion, Presidents should not try to make everyone happy. They should, instead, tell you exaclty what they think and then let us all decide if we agree with enough of what he believes to elect him (or someday, her =)). That's why I love Bush. Not only do I agree with what he says, but I trust that he won't change his apparent beliefs if politics favors something different. Kerry has proven that he will drift with political winds...making anything he says or promises to be absolutely worthless.

I am moderate/conservative, and I have to say that I agree with you wholeheartedly--even on the abortion issue. I am one of those all-important "undecideds", though I am definitely leaning toward Kerry at this point. Voted for Bush in 2000, but feel like it was a MONSTROUS error. At least with a Dem. President and Repub. Congress, there would be some balance. The Repubs. are scaring me to death! And I think that Karl Rove is running the country--reason enough to "Run Away, Run Away" in my finest Monty Python imitation...
