Who's Undecided and Who's Not?
It is very interesting how people make up their minds who to vote for. Generally people are Republicans or Democrats or another party. Some tend to vote straight party lines and others vote because of an issue, near and dear to their heart. Let me ask you...somthing? Over the past four years, is your life better today than it was four years ago? The Republicans have had control of our country, from the President to Senate to House of Representatives. So, whose better off now? For example, I got a 5% raise this year, but my health insurance went up 13%, so I am taking home 8% less than I did last year. So, what is wrong with this picture? I'll tell ya what wrong..politicans are too busy raising money and campaigning to worry about the little people who work for a living. We are just doomed and nothing in the future is going to change. They get their Health care paid for by who...by you and me..is anything gonna change...noooo....it really doesn't matter who is going to win this election.....one man will try to change things and won't and the other man will keep things the same....so we're doomed....What do you think? what do you think will change the next four years....I'll just close my eyes and vote.....

I am voting for Kerry. I have been a registered Democrat all my voting days...and a democrat in spirit for a lot longer than that. So, it wouldn't be surprising that Kerry gets my vote.
But...in terms of what you wrote. In many ways you are right...both sides are corrupt and broken. But, in my estimation...at least one side would like to fix it if they could.
I would rather vote for maybe a niave sense of hope...then vote accepting that things won't get better, so we had better just stick with the broken world that we have.
Now, if I could have had the opportunity to vote for Howard Dean...it would be a very different conversation in my mind. That's a man with vision...who I believe could fight the big fight and return this nation to one which we could all be proud.
Sorry for blathering on...found your site through Blog Explosion.
I just don't buy the "are you better off now then you were 4 years ago" line.
I am way better off then I was four years ago, but it is not because of George Bush or our government.
It is because I chose to make my life better and worked hard. That is the beauty of America, is it not?
So if your life isn't better then it was before, look in the mirror, not at the government.
Thank you for putting into words exactly how I feel. I always feel this way at election time, but was never able to express my feelings as well as you did. You hit the nail on the head!

Lol, I feel like I should do that a lot of times too; go in close my eyes and vote, or write in Mickey Mouse, or Sponge Bob. However, I went with Nader because it least I felt I was hearing some truths.
