Thanks for Listening

Thanks to all the visitors and commentors that have taken the time to respond to the posts. My sincere thanks to you for visiting....Please enjoy and come back soon......

Gnashing of the Teeth

Ringing of the hands, on pins and needles, america is holding its breath till Tuesday, cause this race is on and the finish line is in sight. The candidates just have a few more miles to run. I have been listening to all the political pundits give their predictions about who is ahead of the other. In fact all these political people are just giveing their educated guess. The winner is not going to be president untill all votes are counted. Then we have all those absentee ballots which are not totaled for days later. So, if you think Tuesday will be the day that tells the tale...maybe so and maybe not. Reports from the news are reporting that Lawyers will be standing by to file challenges to any type of impropierty. So whose knows what will surface on November 2. With that said, I would like to encourage everyone who is registared to vote, please exercise your right. You may not think your vote counts but it does. You have the satisfaction of knowing that you can go to the polls and vote for whom you would like to. So, do take the time to go VOTE !!

Taking A Break

I decided a week or so ago to take a break from all the political goings on and that is why I haven't been posting. The news was getting very boring listening to all the insults that the candidates were throwing back and forth at each other on a daily basis. I just got tired of listening to it. I am still undecided as to whom I will be voting for. I think I will just wait and make up my mind when I go to vote. I have heard enough from the candidates. What will people be blogging about when the election is over. I guess we can talk about the unpopular decisions that they make. Politics will die down for a while. The war will continue tho..I really had a bad day all around today. but I will not bore you with the details..I just hope tomorrow will be a better day.. Cya soon....

Who's Undecided and Who's Not?

It is very interesting how people make up their minds who to vote for. Generally people are Republicans or Democrats or another party. Some tend to vote straight party lines and others vote because of an issue, near and dear to their heart. Let me ask you...somthing? Over the past four years, is your life better today than it was four years ago? The Republicans have had control of our country, from the President to Senate to House of Representatives. So, whose better off now? For example, I got a 5% raise this year, but my health insurance went up 13%, so I am taking home 8% less than I did last year. So, what is wrong with this picture? I'll tell ya what wrong..politicans are too busy raising money and campaigning to worry about the little people who work for a living. We are just doomed and nothing in the future is going to change. They get their Health care paid for by who...by you and me..is anything gonna change...noooo....it really doesn't matter who is going to win this election.....one man will try to change things and won't and the other man will keep things the same....so we're doomed....What do you think? what do you think will change the next four years....I'll just close my eyes and vote.....

Debates Tonight...Are You Going To Watch?

I have watched all the debates so far and I will be watching the debate tonight...I don't expect to see anything different tonight than the other two debates...What I would like to see tonight is both candidates talk about the their future plans for this country. I am a hard working single mother, and what is dear to my heart is the question What are they doing to do to make my life easier? For the past 2 debates I have watched these 2 gentlemen critize each other and what they have done in the past..yes there is a place for this type of debate...I am tired of the mudslinging of past deeds. History will judge them. Now is the time for the people to demand
answers to their questions, their concerns and our commitments to the world and how it will effect the average American. The past is over, decisions cannot be retracted....so lets move on to the future....Demand these 2 canditates to commit to making our world just a little bit better.
What would your question be to these 2 candidtates? Share your opinion with us....

Donate The 'Project Apollonia' For The Children

Project Apollonia is the Dream of Grupo Utopia Founder David Anderson and children's book author Nancy Gilliam. The purpose of the project is to provide Costa Rican school children with access to high quality English language books for grades K-6. Project Apollonia is named for Apollonia Anderson Calderon, David's youngest daughter, born December 4, 2003.

The Goal of Project Apollonia is to donate 1,000 children's books to Costa Rican schools by June of this year (2004), and 10,000 by the end of the year. To that end, A group of parties in the United States and Costa Rica have organized Project Apollonia as a non profit organization based in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Our plan is to donate the first batch of books in June of 2004 to the Costa Rican Ministry of Education. Our focus is to donate the first thousand books to the poorest schools in Costa Rica, and we have selected Limon, the poorest of Costa Rica's seven provinces to receive the first of the books.

Besides helping by donating books for the children, please copy and paste this post along with hyprelinks to your own blog or website. The trackback link is

Presidential Debates

Another debate is over.....and both candiates did a great job with all the questions asked. President Bush really came prepared and and well rehearshed this time. But of course this is the type of forum he is best at. John Kerry on the other hand is one of the most skilled debater i have seen in politics. Questions from the people of Missouri were ????..many of us wants to know the answer too....
Bush did appear presidential, but I found him to be to hardnose when it came to some of the issues. I know as president he has many hard decisions to make but what about all the people whi have differing opinions from him. He appeared to be telling america that his way or no way. I thought a president was to do the will of the people not just his own personal view. It is just like the abortion issue when he talked about that. I know he is dead set against abortion but there are millions of people who disagree with him.  This question really touched a nerve with me...I am not for abortion either personally for myself but I am not going to insist my personal values on you or anyone else.
I am just wondering who is going to take care of these
unwanted children, love and provide the needs of this child.
Today, there are already children that are not being cared for now in america.
I'm upset...I'm going to bed......I may finish this post tomorrow

VP Debate

Spin! Spin!.....I watched the debate last night as many of you did....and I did not see or hear anything different that these 2 candidates haven't already put out there...so I think they were a wash.......Both I thought did a good job witht he debating process. I can't say one or the other won the debate. Depending on who was being interviewed on the big news channels the spin doctors were out in force last night, spinning their preference as to was the winner. The winner actually was the person sitting in front of the TV set watching the debate themselves. Both men had their own script and spouted their campaign sound bites...which leads me to believe wondering...Is this really their beliefs or is this what they are just saying to win an election.
Does it really matter what they promise? or what they tell you now....I do believe that our country went to war for the wrong reasons...and as time goes by..it is being proven...but I do support our troops now that were are there....Whether you believe in the war or not...Support our Troops
